Hey, I’m Mat

I’m a graphic designer based in Chicago, IL. I’ve had an interest in design as a child, critiquing and analyzing signs and billboards, trying to think of solutions to design problems without even realizing. It was only later on that I realized the power of good design, and the circumstances that can lead to poor design, and embraced my interest in creating imagery that can reach people.

I’ve studied the art of animation and filmmaking, illustration, and of course graphic design. I worked freelance right out of college as an artist and graphic designer on an indie game project called Daemon Club. But it was in 2018 and 2019 where I began my journey into more business minded design. Since then I’ve worked in multiple roles as a graphic designer, and am currently the Senior Digital Designer for the American Bar Associations Audience Development team, leading the charge on the ABA’s social media efforts across image and video.

In my free time I like to ride my bike, rock climb, and perform long-form improv. I’m also an illustrator with a focus on picture books.
